The Manual: Community Consultation and Monitoring on the Impact of Hydropower
According to the report of the Commission on Science, Technology, Environment and Government, by 2013 the whole country of Vietnam has had 113 terraced Hydroelectric power plants on some major rivers and 1,108 small hydropower plants are now being projected. The development of this manual is important as it illustrates the many evidences of hydropower impacts on the environment and society.

Policy brief: Gender impact assessment of hydropower project on Srepok river – 2017
Our assessment is one of the first efforts in Vietnam to promote the practice of gender impact assessment in hydropower development. The assessment focused its research on Buon Don district, Dak Lak province. Buon Don, or formerly Ban Don, was named after Laotian (the majority of the population here long time ago), meaning “Island Village”.

Thua Thien Hue is a coastal province located in central Viet Nam, where ~1.3 million people live. Almost 25% of whom live in Hue City, which was the national capital and seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors until 1945 and is a UNESCO world heritage site. An important feature of the province is the Huong River that flows through Hue City into the Tam Giang Lagoon and then into the Pacific.
